JOLCEL 13 is the outcome of a roundtable organised by the research group RELICS on Latin writings by women. It reflects on the past of the field from the perspective of Jane Stevenson, and looks ahead at the field's future including the opportunitie it offers for public outreach and intersections with other disciplines including art history. The issue is accompanied by an appendix listing hundreds of women who wrote in Latin, which will help scholars and which remains open for correction and expansion.
